QUESTION: I am frustrated. I want to break free from quarantine or some situation in my life. What can I do?
This desire for freedom can often result in people blaming others and wanting to disconnect from each other in order to obtain freedom. The blessing will be when we relax and realize the sense of being trapped is our current condition -- NOT the reality of outer influence. In connection we realize we are free. When we disassociate we are actually trapped. Take a breath.
Its ok to have a desire for space, but monitoring our relationships and examining if the relationships we have near or far are giving us freedom will only bring suffering. This perception, or comparison, of relationship won't bring us happiness or freedom. Becoming conscious of our own inner sense of being trapped/bound/frustrated is when we realize we do not need to stay in that suffering state. It is only a lie anyway.
In fact, many are seeking to get out of suffering like this and avoid their own inner truth. The problem would not go away until the problem is discovered. The sense of being trapped itself & the associated mental dialogue IS the suffering. The only one really in this story is the one carrying the story, so they will carry the ignorance within themselves wherever they go.
Let us become conscious, grow in awareness, and help people feel the space they need is within. Then with this internal freedom. Go where you may with love & compassion.
